Amber’s aWEARness Project

It’s a BIG month people!!!! I’ve got lots to tell ya. Let me start with this…

So, I turned 35 last month.

Well, it kinda feels the same. My life hasn’t really changed.

The problem is, I don’t want this year to be like all the others – just going through the motions, day after day. I want it to be different.

To mean something.

After getting absolutely wrecked over the last few years, I realized it was time to act on my conviction and follow the inspiration I have received from the many books and blogs I have read over the last year or so.

So, this month I am partnering with The Mocha Club

So just to recap:

> 1 out of 9 women in Ethiopia live a life in prostitution

> help give two women a second chance at life by donating here

> and by the end of March…if I reach my goal and can raise $800

> I will clear out my closet and only wear 35 items for the next year!

> slowly trading out my clothing for clothes & accessories that support non-profits & businesses fighting for social justice.

to hear truth and know you are loved and valued is absolutely priceless

Great idea! And I love how you explained the two….one represents you, one represents me. Each of us can relate to that. It’s weird to think sometimes that if we had been born under different circumstances, how very different our lives would be. How then can we not help someone who is in need?

    Hi Amber,
I think if you and I lived next door to each other, we would be the kind of neighbors that drink our morning coffee, in our pajamas, over the fence. This is sooo something I would do. Your heart is so big and so generous. Sending a donation your way.
