By the comments and emails I received after my post last week {the one on the big D}, I realized two things:
1) How awesome you all are {but I kinda already knew that}…
and
2) I may have freaked some of you out… like I’m currently hiding out in my closet crying all day or something.
So I want you to know two things:
1) That post, about me seeing my counselor and being told I was (still) depressed (again) and then ugly crying the rest of the afternoon in the parking lot? Well, that happened last month. December 13th to be exact. I just didn’t quite have the cojones to share it then…
and
2) I’m fine now. Really. I didn’t mean to scare you. I just wanted to join the blogosphere conversation about depression, cause it’s a super fun topic and all ;)
Now I will say- you may need to check in with me in a couple of weeks. Just having moved to a new city and being home with my kids 24/7 may send me into a new kind of crazy.
But I’ll keep you posted ;)
Thanks again for all your love & support my friends. Hope you have a great weekend!
Peace out,
Amber
P.S. totally experienced this today on our 3 hour road trip back to Nashville, just me & the kids.
I have never been great with understanding the lyrics in songs – I screw them up all the time, but that’s a whole other post. Apparently my kids don’t take after me. Oops.

((hugs)) I cracked up at your little “post card.” I can so relate… there are some songs that 4 year boys and 8 year girls should never sing… but I love those songs!!!

I’m afraid I freaked out a bunch of my friends/family too. I have someone calling to check on me about once a day. I tried to tell them I’m ok, it’s not like right now is different from before… I just wasn’t talking about it then. lol
I’m glad you talked about it on here. You are brave, girl. Love ya!

I know what you mean… hey, at least there are people out there who care about you. You are obviously loved :)
Saying a prayer girl. And moving —– always bring a tinge of depression. Leaving the old, settling in to the new, and being cooped with with the kids — that’s a perfect recipe. Always love seeing you here and wish we were closer. I think we’d hit it off!!!
The pic at the end reminded me of when my husband bought me “The Knack” a few years ago. He was so excited he had found one of my favs when I was younger. We plopped it in to listen as a family — OMG I died. Totally not what I wanted my kids to listen too. Truthfully, I couldn’t believe I even listened to some of it. It must have been the good beat. LOL
